We use integrative biology to study immunity, resilience and stress response in cnidarians (corals, sea anemones). We focus on the innate immune system to understand how cnidarians respond to pathogens and other environmental stressors, as well as the cell types responsible for stress response. We are also interested in the mechanisms of wound healing and regeneration, and how these processes are affected by environmental changes. We use techniques in cell biology, genomics, and biochemistry to answer these questions. |
