Notes |
I study the evolution and coevolution of interacting species, especially mutualists. I am a collaborator with the Joshua Tree Genome Project (https://www.joshuatreegenome.org) and the Queer in STEM (https://www.queerinstem.org) study of LGBTQ experiences in scientific careers.
I also edit the Molecular Ecologist (https://www.molecularecologist.com), a blog about the uses of genetic data in ecology and evolutionary biology, and I have written for the website of Scientific American, the LA Review of Books, the Chronicle of Higher Education, and Slate, among other venues; I have provided comments for media outlets including the Atlantic, the New York Times, WBUR Boston, and the BBC World News.
I am gay (and also white and cisgender). |
